Proper Propagation
Hosted by One World Permaculture and Hill Country Natives with Caroline Riley, Mike Wolfert and Colby Stoker.
One of the most amazing things about working with plants and ecosystems is there ability to self replicate and reproduce. With a little help from us, the efficiency and success rates of these behaviors can become astronomical.
This workshop will help you learn how to help plants do what they already strive to do without us, grow and reproduce.
This is a hands on learning experience! We will learn a technique intellectually and then try it out so you leave with the confidence to use these techniques on your own. Everyone attending the workshop will have the option to take home some of the cuttings they start during the course of the day so you can watch them root and grow, then plant them out when ready.
Workshop covers:
-Seeds, harvesting, storing, stratifying/ scarification, germination
-Air rooting, layering, grafting
-Cuttings, when and how to take cuttings, helpful equipment, creating the right conditions for rooting, growing on to field planting
